WAREHOUSE LABOR & CAPACITY CONTROL ROOM, $99 Know where the shift will break before it starts.
Most warehouse planning is a volume-divided-by-rate spreadsheet, or a retrospective KPI dashboard
that tells you what already happened. This tool connects the staffing calculation to the actual
decision: which function is short, how much backlog will remain, whether qualified labor can be
rebalanced, and whether overtime or temporary labor is the lower-cost feasible recovery, before the
shift starts.

Not ready to buy? The free shift
capacity calculator runs the single-function version of this arithmetic in your
browser, with no signup. Same capacity math, without the multi-function plan, the costed
overtime-versus-temps comparison and the attendance stress test.
WHAT IT DOES Five questions it answers before you decide.
Backlog and roster by function
Converts opening backlog plus forecast into productive hours, required roster, and closing backlog for each function: Receiving, Putaway, Picking, Packing, Replenishment, Returns, or your own.
You get: which function is actually short, not a single plant-wide number.
Attendance and indirect-time adjustment
Adjusts capacity for attendance and indirect time before the roster requirement is calculated.
You get: a roster number that accounts for who actually shows up.
Overtime, temp, or deferral comparison
Compares overtime, temporary labor, and controlled deferral by function, honoring a deliberate target closing backlog so only work beyond your planned carryover counts as at risk.
You get: the lower-cost feasible recovery option, ranked, not a guess.
Volume and attendance stress test
Stress-tests a volume spike and an attendance miss without overwriting your base plan.
You get: what breaks under a shock, before it happens for real.
CSV import, JSON export
Imports a CSV of 1 to 24 work functions, exports an editable JSON plan, and auto-saves the latest plan in the browser with confirmation before anything overwrites it.
You get: no re-entry of the same numbers shift after shift.
Shift huddle action plan
Generates a plain-English action plan, ranked by labor-hours to clear so functions counting pallets, orders, and cartons compare fairly.
You get: a management-ready report you can print and take into the huddle.
$99 One-time purchase. Single-business license. No subscription.
$99 covers use inside one business. Consultants and multi-site operators need a separate license
per client business, unless a multi-client license is purchased.
FORMAT & PRIVACY An offline file, not a login.
The product is an offline single-file HTML application. No subscription, sign-in, macros,
installation, or internet connection is required to run it. Your data stays in the browser unless
you export or print it yourself.
WHO IT'S FOR Best for
- Warehouse managers and operations managers
- Fulfillment leaders and 3PL operators
- Industrial engineers
- Consultants and supervisors planning one or more work functions
Important limitation
- An operational planning aid, not a labor standard or employment directive
- Results depend on the quality of forecasts, observed rates, and assumptions
- Does not build named-employee schedules or validate labor rules
- Not a guarantee of savings
FAQ Direct answers.
What format is this, and does it need Excel?
It is a self-contained HTML application. Open index.html in a current browser and it runs. No Excel version and no macros are required.
Does my data leave my computer?
No. The app runs locally. Your backlog, forecast, and roster data leave the browser only when you choose to export or print them yourself.
Is there a subscription?
No. $99 is a one-time purchase for a single-business license. No recurring fee, no sign-in.
Can I change or add work functions?
Yes. Rename any row and replace its inputs, add or remove rows up to 24 total, or import a CSV of 1 to 24 rows. Six common functions load as the sample.
What if this doesn't fit my operation?
It plans function-level roster requirements from forecast, backlog, and attendance, and compares overtime, temporary labor, and controlled deferral. It does not build named-employee schedules, validate labor rules, or handle real-time queue monitoring. If you need those, this is not the right tool.
What is the refund policy?
A 30-day usefulness guarantee, as stated on the listing: load your real data, follow the instructions, and if the tool does not produce a usable staffing or backlog decision, request a refund within 30 days. For product questions, reply to your purchase confirmation email.
